Our Mission:​
Sigma Lambda Gamma strives to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.
Through a network of close to 3,000 multicultural sisters from collegiate chapters and alumnae associations located across the United States, we promote academic excellence and higher education for all women via a dedication and incorporation of the sorority principles – Academics, Community Service, Cultural Awareness, Morals & Ethics, and Social Interaction – in our lives.

Chapter History
In the fall of 2001, a group of women were searching for an organization that represented who they were and gave them a sense of belonging.Finding none on campus, they decided to bring one, thus the search for a Latina-based sorority begn. After much consideration, the ladies decided that Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc., was the only organization for them.
On July 11th, 2003 at 7:21p.m. the University of Centra Oklahoma was granted chapter status and became the 67th chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma, the Phi Beta chapter was established.
